Milking the last days…

I would say I used the $70 summer tram pass to its fullest extent. Sadly, the summer tram season is ending next week on Friday. In comparison to last year, I feel like I could have pushed myself harder. I gave in to laziness way too easily this year. I know its due to lack of external motivation. When I have a consistent climbing partner, I push myself more to not waste their time. For most of the year, i’ve been out and climbing solo without a consistent climbing partner. Hopefully something magical can happen and I find a great person to partner up with. I really do miss roping up for trad and sport, or having that solid feeling of trust. I’m going through trust issues… my tissue issues are probably preventing me from trusting others to get close. Sob sob, whatever. Anyways. I regret nothing, this summer at tram has been awesome. I enjoy my time up there if I’m climbing or not. Even though tram is filled with the usual SoCal community, I still met some really awesome people this summer season! Thanks everyone for the spots, pads, and a snack when a bastard squirrel stole my bag of nuts.

Here are some shots from yesterday!

The next three shots shot by, Tsukasa Takahashi. Thanks!

When we walked back to the car, we see that some of our friends wanted to say hi… in a creative way. Haha

Took a trip again to our secret pitstop area.

Hope everyone is enjoying the last days of summer. Counting down the days till BISHOP season!
Stay Psyched & Climb ON everyone!

Dude, I totally feel you on not having a climbing partner. It sucks. I have zero motivation to climb alone, where I just moved to the area, so I haven’t climbed in a hell of a long time–not to mention the 100+ temps here. We’ve been stuck inside for the past two weeks due to a combined unit exam that we took today, and yet no one wants to go climb when we finally get freedom. If you’re ever in Nevada…

    • Haha saying your not a spambot actually caught my eye in the sea of spam. Yea, i’m just waiting for this heat wave to pass. Here in SoCal i think we have another month or so until Bishop is choice! Cant wait for that.
& GL on your med endeavors! Im well on my way. Graduating Neuro BS in the spring ’13, taking a year break… then the hunt for a med school who will take me. Its nerve wracking.

      • Yeah, we’re thinking that in three weeks–hopefully sooner–Red Rock will get to the point that you don’t have to go night bouldering or hit routes at six for it to be bearable. And good luck to you as well–it’s a crazy ride to get here, and once you’re here, it’s so much fun. Just remember–DO is not a cop out–in fact, we learn more and, at least for me, it makes a lot more sense as a way to treat people and improve health–more humanistic than most MDs are trained. And second, use climbing to your advantage. Talk about it in your personal statement. It sets you apart form everyone else, and in your case, you can also use it as a spin on leadership and the other required stuff.
Okay, I’ll quit pontificating. If you have any questions on the application process, feel free to ask.
Here’s to the heat wave breaking soon!
