First of all, hope everyone had a radtastic 4th of July! I climbed up in Palm Springs Ariel Tramway and I REALLY wanted to climb with ice cream. The day before Independence Day I went to a local ice shop to buy a slab of dry ice. I had more than needed, so I went to the gym and someone had the horribly fantastic idea of blowing up nalgenes. What we did was absolutely brainless considering there was absolutely no safety precautions. As you can clearly see, my friend doesn’t have a shirt on. God forbid you ask a boulderer to put a shirt on.
So if you have a large collection of lost and found nalgenes in the bin… why not make your own *BOOMTASTIC* fireworks?

thankfully, the Nalgene was an REI brand.

Shows up to REI with nalgene shrapnel in a ziplock bag… “I would like to return this. I am not 100% satisfied with my purchase. All I wanted was ice cold water on a hot summer day, then it blew up.”
